What are domain & subdomain?
In the context of the internet, a domain is a unique identifier that identifies a specific website. It is part of the website’s URL that comes after “http://” or “https://” and before the first slash. For example, in the URL “https://www.example.com/page.html”, “example.com” is the domain.
A subdomain, on the other hand, is a domain that is a part of a larger domain. It is created by adding a prefix to the main domain name, separated by a dot. For example, in the URL “https://blog.example.com/page.html”, “blog” is the subdomain of the domain “example.com”. Subdomains are commonly used to organize content and create separate sections of a website, such as a blog or a forum.
